Through the Ubuntu Network’s work in Uganda, I had the profound privilege of meeting Husna Kukundakwe—a Paralympic swimming champion who competes at the international level without arms. Her dedication and achievements are extraordinary, yet she trains without access to professional coaching, proper facilities, or adequate equipment.

Why This Campaign Exists
Meeting Husna changed my understanding of athletic excellence and human potential. As a competitive swimmer myself, I thought I understood dedication—but watching her achieve what most able-bodied athletes couldn’t showed me that true limits are rarely physical.
This isn’t charity. It’s partnership. Husna has already given so much through her example and inspiration. This campaign is about ensuring she has the resources to continue proving what’s possible and inspiring the next generation.
